Spring Is Almost Here!

I can't wait for Spring! I'm always ready for the next season though. I love Winter, but am always glad when it's over. Same with the others. Aren't you glad God didn't make it the same weather all the time? It would be so dull if we didn't have some gloomy days sometimes, or bright ones. There's also Spring break soon too! Can't wait...

'Twas an eventful night...

Last night, the water pipes froze. So we brushed our teeth using water bottles. Got in bed with the electric blanket on almost high, and put in the My Fair Lady soundtrack. The water unfroze a little while after we got in bed. Around 11:00, I heard this loud noise that sounded like the bath water on full blast. I thought Dad turned it on so the water wouldn't freeze up again, but wondered why it was on that much. I didn't think too long about it very much though, and tried to get some sleep.
About 30 min later, I decided that the noise was keeping me awake. So I got out of my bed, opened the door, and walked down to the bathroom. Right as I stepped out of my room, my socks were soaked. I shrieked, and saw that water was everywhere. I was standing in water about an inch deep. When I realized the situation, I ran to Rachel's room and told her what happened. Then I ran to get Dad, and we both rushed back to the bathroom in the mothers' cabin. The water heater valve was busted, and water was shooting everywhere. Apparently, there was a lot of pressure from the water being frozen. So I had to hold the valve down while Dad went to see if he could fix it. I felt like that Dutch boy who had to hold his finger in the wall to save the town...

Anyway, it stopped, so we cleaned up a little and went back to bed. A few minutes after I got into bed, it started again. This time I went straight to the valve and held it down. Dad came in when he heard it, and put a paint can on top of it to hold it down. We then went back to bed a third time, and this time I went to sleep, and the valve busted no more. We had to stay home from church today to clean it all up, a lot of the boxes got soaked and had to be moved, and the floor dried with the ShopVac. It was weird not going to church, and I wish we could have gone, but there was nothing else for us to do. Missed ya'll Grace Chapelanians!

Well, that's the end of this tale...toodles!

School at the Camp..

We do our schoolwork in the Kitchen most of the time. As well as fix meals, eat, do laundry, play computer, Dad does his work, and other things. It's interesting.

It doesn't really look like Tyler's doing school though, does it? :)

Snow Day!!

This is Emily, my littlest 5 year old sister, and me. We had tons of fun in the snow. I think this is the first time I've seen snow at Camp, and it's absolutely gorgeous! We built a snowman, but it's a little funny looking. :) We had to be creative to find things to use for his mouth, eyes, and nose. I wish our internet was faster so I could post some more pictures, it's so pretty. Maybe later I'll have a pic of our snowman.

'...a dweam within a dweam...'

Saturday night I had a dream. A very, very sad dream. I can't remember all of it though, but this is what I do remember..

It was set in the 1900s in WWI. All of the boys around 18 were enlisting. For some reason, some of them went even though they were under 18...but anyway... So everyone left... my brothers went, Andrew, Roy, Seth, Nathan, and such. Everyone was really sad, but we all knew that we couldn't keep them from going. The few years went by and the war was over. All of our boys came home finally. Except....Nathan didn't. It was horrible! Everyone was really sad and right before I woke up, I was wondering how I was going to tell Claire (for some reason I had to), because I knew she'd take it really hard. :) Thankfully though, I woke up before I could tell her.

So that was my very sad, teary dream. I think it was brought on by my reading "Rilla of Ingleside", the last book in the Anne of Green Gables series. A very good series, by the way. Adieu!

Hm..what to post about?

I have no clue what I am about to post on, so... be prepared.

Biology. Lately in Biology I've been studying about bacteria, molds, and fungi...sound interesting? It is, very.. and somewhat disgusting. I learned that they let mold grow on beef and then when it's covered, they scrape it off, leaving the meat tender and very delicious. I kinda wish they wouldn't make us learn that stuff, I'd much rather not know about that. Burgers are not very appetizing anymore.
Anyway..

What else comes to mind...

College. I've been wondering and praying about what I'm going to do after I graduate. College has crossed my mind, but I want to be sure that God is calling me to that first. I've thought about majoring in some field of nursing, but I don't want to be so into my job and career that I can't quit when I need to. But, I do have a couple of years left in highschool to think about it.

Can anyone tell me what this quote is from?

"It is not time or opportunity that is to determine intimacy;-- it is disposition alone. Seven years would be insufficient to make some people acquainted with each other, and seven days are more than enough for others."
