My Thanksgiving day was spectacular. Not only was the food excellent, but the company and fellowship top notch. We had it on Friday since we were waiting for the rest of the family to arrive, and that night we watched "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" on the projector in the living room. If you haven't seen that movie, you should. I've seen it numerous times, and it still cracks me up. :) Great cast.
On Saturday we geared up to play paintball, and played several games. Out of the three games I played, I got hit twice, both in the first game. I think they were from Ryan, one hit the side of my leg, and the other my neck...it stung. I've got a bruise on my leg as proof. :) That evening we had our traditional Pictionary rivalry game, the Girls vs. the Guys. We girls thought that since we had one so many times before that we would let the guys win for once. So we let them win the first one, and we won the second game. It was a lot of fun. We girls...we can meld our minds together. Guys just don't know how to do that.. :)
Since we don't get TV, we actually didn't watch any football... yeah, shocker, I know.. :) But we still had tons of fun just hanging out together.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well! Cheers!

Oh, look...
Hey everyone, it's THANKSGIVING!! :) The time of year where we gather with our family and friends to eat and watch football... But don't forget what the main purpose of today is, to GIVE THANKS to God for all of His blessings that He's given us even though we are undeserving. So I love you all, and Happy Thanksgiving! :)
1Ch 16:34 "O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever."

"My Dearest Friends"
(This is #95 in the 12th edition of the Old School Hymnal)
We sang this at church yesterday, and it reminded me of what I feel whenever I leave an event where a lot of my friends are gathered, such as a meeting or Harmony Hill.
1. "My dearest friends in bonds of love, Our hearts in sweetest union prove,
Your friendship's like a drawing band, Yet we must take the parting hand.
Your presence sweet, your union dear, Your words delightful to my ear;
And when I see that we must part, You draw like cords around my heart.
2. How sweet the hours have passed away, When we have met to sing and pray;
How loath I've been to leave this place Where Jesus shows His smiling face.
O could I stay with friends so kind, How would it cheer my struggling mind!
But duty makes me understand That we must take the parting hand.
3. And since it is God's holy will, we must be parted for a-while,
In sweet submission all in one, We'll say, Our Father's will be done.
Dear fellow youth in Christian ties, Who seek for mansions in the skies,
Fight on; you'll win the happy shore Where parting hands are known no more.
4. How oft I've seen the flowing tears, And heard you tell your hopes and fears;
Your hearts with love have seemed to flame, Which makes me hope we'll meet again.
Ye mourning souls in sad surprise, Jesue remembers all your cries;
O taste His grace -- in all that land We'll no more take the parting hand."
