Who needs a swimming pool?

Well, I did it. I braved my fears of snakes and grody water and went swimming in the lake/pond of Camp Moriah. It actually was not grody, and we didn't see any snakes. And it felt sooo good. We invited Eleanor, since she had to go back to MS anyway after Mercy's birthday sleepover, to spend the afternoon at our house. So that's why Eleanor is there. :D It's great living so close now.

I hereby am annoucing right now that I'm signing up for lake duty on the last day of camp. :D

Btw, I dont think I'd touch that pond water myself. I've heard some nasty stories about what lurks down at the bottom of the center of that lake.

fun! the Meadville crew (and me...but I kinda consider myself part of it now) recently went swimming in some friends' aunt's pond...it was a blast...and there was a floating dock...which they ended up flipping over...that was interesting trying to flip it back over...anyway...I know yall had a blast!

Oh funny! We flipped the canoe and had a hard time righting it. Finally, Lydia, Rachel, Mollie and Sarah paddled to shore and I held on to their canoe and held on to the upside down canoe. Call me tow-chain. : )

Looks like you had fun! Personally, I prefer pools and oceans [but that's a little biased ;) ]...besides, the slimy stuff at the bottom of ponds/lakes kind of freaks me out.

yeah me too! and in ponds, it's so weird cuz in one spot, it's hot, and then the next spot it's really cold...or at least that's how it was in this pond! There was that stuff all over the bottom of the dock...ugh! but it was still fun!
