Party Time!
I'm fifteen! wow....now I am able to get my permit. That's a little scary. Not to mention in 2 years I'll be graduating. Goodness...how time flies. And the end of 2005 is drawing near, with 2006 approaching rapidly. I've been thinking lately about how fast time really does go once you look back on it. It makes me really want to use my time wisely. I've also been thinking about what New Years resolutions I'll make this year. I almost never finish everything on the list. Actually, just make that never. But I still make them every year because maybe I'll complete some at least. I still haven't managed to read the Bible all the way through, but I'm getting there. Hopefully, this year I will. I needs to jet now, so cya'll!
Oh, here's a pic of my ring that I got for my b-day. Ain't it perty?

One more day!!
I can hardly contain myself...only one more day! As I have failed to convince Mother to have my birthday tonight, I will just have to be patient. Which is rather hard for me. I was going to have a birthday party and go bowling for the first time with some friends, but it didn't work out. I am going bowling tonight with my family though, and going out for dinner at I think Ruby Tuesday's.
Today was a very beautiful day. Not too cold, and not hot. I spent most of the day practicing basketball, and the last hour of daylight playing with my youngest siblings, Zackary and Emily. We were playing Indians with their tepee that Mom helped them build on the volleyball court. :) That's something I haven't done in ages, but I decided that since this is my last day to be 14 forever, I might as well act like the kid I won't be for too much longer. At least I still have enough imagination for it. Well, I must get ready for our outing. Toodles!

Doughy dough doughnuts
Today we sold a bunch of Krispy Kreme doughnuts for GCS's basketball team. It was fun doing it with everyone, but I'm kinda glad to have gotten it over with. This time I wasn't as nervous about going up to people and asking them if they wanted to buy some doughnuts, but I think it was also because Roy was with me this time. Last time it was just me and my sister Mollie, so I did most of the talking. So now I'm at the church, waiting until we go see King Kong with everyone. I hope it'll be good, since it's by Peter Jackson. Hopefully I'll have something interesting to write about next post, sorry this one isn't very. Looking forward to the meeting!

Another one of these "Seven Things" things...
I wasn't going to do one of these, as everyone is doing it, but I was told I was tagged. So...here it goes.
Seven things...
To do before I die:
-- Visit a foreign country
-- Dye my hair some absurd color for a day
-- Become a virtuous woman
-- Get married, have children, grow old, be the best grandmother ever...and eventually die..
-- Get as close to God as possible
-- Watch the sunrise
-- Learn when to open and when to shut my mouth
I cannot do (and would very much like to):--
-- Be able to go a whole day without sinning
-- Live in the times of P&P for a little while
-- Write a really good poem...or actually just any poem.. :)
-- Meet Ronald Reagan
-- Be an eloquent speaker
-- Remember something right when I want to
-- Have a photographic memory
3. That attracted me to my spouse:
-- His ability to take charge when needed
-- The tender way he treats everyone
-- The way he always knows what to do in every situation
-- His strong love for the Lord
-- His willingness to one day have the burden of providing for a family
-- The way he is incredibly romantic
-- The way everyone respects and loves him
4. Things I say most often:
-- Can you get me ___? Pleeease? (insert whatever i so desire at that moment) :D
-- Shush up
-- Chill
-- Good griefous (Justin, you got me started doing that)
-- Darn
-- weird
-- We're gonna be really late....
5. Seven books I love
-- Pride and Prejudice
-- Series of Unfortunate Events
-- Love Comes Softly Series
-- Embrace the Dawn
-- Little Women
-- Chronicles of Narnia
-- my King James Bible
6. Movies I could watch over and over
-- The Patriot
-- Pride and Prejudice (both)
-- Emma
-- Series of Unfortunate Events (Jim Carrey is great!)
-- Pirates of the Caribbean
-- Sound of Music
-- Tammy and the Bachelor
7. People I want to tag:
--Roy, of http://www.roybeauchamp.blogspot.com/
--Claire, of http://www.beehive5.blogspot.com/
-- Sarah, of http://www.soimmature.blogspot.com
-- Rachel, of http://www.rachelpoe.blogspot.com

December!!
It's December! And only 21 days till my birthday! I am definitely ready to age another year too. :) Also another good thing that happens in December is our meeting. The time when almost all of my friends come together....it's so fun. But it also makes it extremely sad when it's time for everyone to leave. Ryan's birthday is coming up soon too. In 8 days. I know what I'm going to get him already, but I can't say because one day he might just decide to visit my lowly blog. :)
Must run, adios!

Mr. Darcy....*sigh*.. :)
I just saw the new "Pride and Prejudice" movie. It's GREAT! I wasn't expecting much, with Keira Knightly and all, but she wasn't bad atall. I loved Mr. Darcy in this version almost as much as the one where Colin Firth played him. I got all giggly and everything after the movie was over. lol, I had to get Ryan to help me off of my seat because my knees were so weak! :) I don't think that one could really compare this one and the older version though. I couldn't anyways. They're so different, even though it's the same basic story. I definitely want to buy it once it comes out on video. I think Mr. Darcy is my ideal guy, with a few exceptions maybe. :) Toodles!

Wednesday....
Well, this last Tuesday night after our basketball game I spent the night at my Grandparents' house. The next morning I woke up around 7:30 or so and ate breakfast...then started reading a book that my Grandma recommended. Grandma asked me if I wanted to go workout with her, and I said yes. So about 9:00, we set off..Grandma driving. I was a little nervous, but was relieved when only about 5 minutes later we pulled into the place. The place was a Senior's Center. I wasn't really expecting this, but followed Grandma in anyway. We walked inside and there was an elderly lady at the front desk, named...Miss Jan I think. So after Grandma introduced me and everything, we walked into a room where they were playing '80s music and elderly people were doing aerobics while a lady was instructing them. I put my sweater on a chair and walked over to a clear space on the floor, and just started doing what the instructor said. I was a little embarrassed about doing it, but after awhile I got used to it and started having fun with it. After about 30 minutes, we did our exercise with weights. After it was over, Grandma introduced me to all of them, and after giving my name and age several times, we left.
We got back and I read some more, then ate a sandwich with a glass of milk and icecream. :) At 1:50 I think it was, Ryan and I went to his Philosophy class at the U of M. They were discussing a movie called "High Crimes and Misdemeanors". I had never seen the movie, but their views on things were quite interesting. For instance, they think that marriage is no more than words on paper, and that if a marriage isn't going well, the spouses can do whatever they want because they are practically divorced already. After his class we bought some Tigers' tickets for Seth and his family and left for GA. After about 7 1/2 hours we arrived, and went to bed.
So that was my rather interesting day...hope you have a good one!

Singin' and dancing in the rain...
Last night I was in one of my "hyper" moods, and it was also raining....not a good combination. :) It was probably about 8:45 or so, and I was about to get ready for bed, and I was thinking about how I would have to run from the pavilion to the cabin..when it occured to me to not bother about getting wet. I've never really danced in the rain before. Or sang, actually. yes, I sang "Singin' In the Rain", "I Could Have Danced All Night", and probably a few others. If you haven't done it before, I highly recommend it. :)So anyway, that was some of my self-made hyperness showing. Toodles!

Attack of the Ants!
Yesterday, I read a story from my World Literature book. The story was Leiningen Versus the Ants, by Carl Stephenson. This story was a very interesting one about a plantation owner in Brazil, who stood up against an army of ants by using his intelligence. Even though he was pretty intelligent, he and his four hundred peons barely survived the millions of ants seeking to destroy everything in their path. In Leiningen’s first attempt to defeat the ants, he built a sort of “moat” around his plantation and filled it with water from a river nearby. Then he built an “inner moat” which was a smaller ditch lined with concrete, and he emptied into this the inflow pipes from three petrol tanks. Leiningen was sure that even if somehow the ants managed to cross the first ditch, they couldn’t get through the second. They did however, but before they reached the plantation house and barn, Leiningen made a final attempt to obliterate the ants by flooding the entire plantation with the river. Since the house and barn were on high ground, they would be saved. So Leiningen made the dash to the dam, being bitten by ants as he ran. By the time he reached the dam and had fulfilled his mission, the ants covered his body head to toe. As he stumbled his way back to his men, he lost his footing and fell, not having any strength to get up again. His peons reached him and “tore off the ants from a body that seemed almost an open wound”. The men carried their master into the house and informed him that his plan had worked, that the ants were defeated. Leiningen smiled as the nurse applied the medicines, and murmured, “I told you I’d come back, even if I am a bit streamlined”. He then slept peacefully.
This story was quite interesting and I must say I was captivated to the end. I can’t imagine what I’d feel like to know that millions of ants were coming my way, with the single intent to annihilate. Especially being covered in ants! Ick…

Admiration for great actresses..
I can't get over how classy Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, and Julie Andrews are! I recently watched Breakfast At Tiffany's, and Audrey Hepburn is amazing. Although I think that My Fair Lady is my favorite of Audrey Hepburn's, I like all of them. Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief, which I've seen many times, is also a great classic. And who can forget The Sound of Music? You can ask anyone in my family, and they'd probably tell you that the songs from that movie are the ones that I am most frequently singing to. I think that the most classy actors and actresses played in the movies of those times. Sometimes I wish I had lived back then...but then there was the Depression in the 40s.... :) I guess I'll just have to be content with living now, and admiring the actors and actresses of the past.

HEY Y'ALL!!
We finally have internet!!!! And we've moved! And I'm really ready to get moved into our house! And I don't know why I keep saying "And" with an exclamation!
Okay, that was dumb, sorry..:) Anyway I'm really glad to be back. Mostly lately I've been doing school, and trying to finish Sense and Sensiblity so I can read Alice and Wonderland so I can discuss it with Kris at Boot Camp. Oh, and I've decided to delete my blog...so I probably will tomorrow sometime. Adios!

Moving
Well not much has happened since I last posted those pictures, but I did go to another Tigers' game. That was really fun, and interesting. :) We did win this time. Actually, we creamed them. I think the final score was 59-14. Where we were sitting was very interesting too. We had to move to the Student Section. I still had a good time though.
And this week, we've been packing up everything!! Our living room was piled up with boxes until we loaded them in the U-Haul trailer. Now our living room is just slightly less crowded than it was. :)
And I've had to pack up all of my stuff, which is not something I like to do....but thankfully it's just for a week or so. Now I'm living out of a suitcase. Tonight we're going to Collierville's meeting where my grandpa, Bobby Poe pastors. I guess that's all...

School!
I just started school Tuesday. So far it's been pretty well. I am having bit of a time with Algebra 2 though. Mostly it's just the Geometry part, and I haven't taken Geometry yet. But with the Algebra part I'm doing okay. Today I worked about an hour on my first Algebra 2 test...did horrible on it. BUT most of the ones I got wrong were dealing with Geometry, and the ones I did get right had more to do with Algebra..so maybe there's a tad bit of hope. :) My brain is really fried now. Poor Mom, she has to teach me Biology and Lit after I've already been racking my mind over Algebra problems..lol. I think we're going to change the order of my subjects though, because of that.

Tigers Game..
This was my first football game, and it was sooo fun! Even though we did lose.. and I understood most of what was going on, most of the time. At least, I think I did. :D Let's see.. who all went.. there was me, Ryan, Seth, Nathan, Rebekah, Joe, John R., Stephen R., Andrew, Roy, Erika, Matt and Rebecca Case, and I think that's all. Oh, if you want the details of the game you can look at Joe's blog..lol. It was really fun!

LAN party time!
Well the boys are having ANOTHER LAN party.. for those of you who don't know what LAN is...
LAN stands for Local Area Network (had to ask my mother bout that).. and it's when a bunch of people (in this case 6 guys) get together with their computers and hook them together, and play games against each other. Then they play ALL day...only stopping to eat and get a few hours of sleep...and then they wake up and do it all over again until they have to leave. :) So anyway..I have a date with a pie! adios!

And also because we're going to be moving to the great state of Mississippi ssoonn. lol I wonder if I'll start talking like a Mississppian? Surely not, but if I do, don't make fun of me! :D So anyways..or anyway..I gotta run..adios!

My Summer so far..
So far my Summer's been good. Although I think it's the busiest one I've had yet, it was still fun. First school let out, and everyone was rejoicing as usual, including the teachers. Then there was a week or two after that when I was rather bored. But then things started getting busy. I left to go to HH with the Guesses in the notorious Guess Van, and after a noisy and fun 10 hours or so, we were at HH. HH was great as always, except the weather this time was really really hot. Oh, and I drank plenty of water and managed to not lose my voice this time. Then on Saturday we left, got to the Guess house that night, and then went to church Sunday. Sunday afternoon we went home, and repacked for Camp! :) Left for Camp on Monday. Camp week was stupendous as usual..great preaching, great fellowship, and great fun. Then a week or two after Camp was Boot Camp the first weekend of July. That was really fun, and after Boot Camp some of us went to my good friend Evan Ritchie's house for a Confederate Ball celebrating his 16th birthday. That was really really reeeally fun! :)
Then after that was Grace Chapel's meeting, and that was as usual...fun. :) The preaching again was great, we had Bro. Jerry Hunt Sr. and Bro. Kenneth Brantley. Saturday of the meeting though, I left to go to GA, or Jawja as some say.. lol..to spend some time with my relatives down here. After GA we left for FL on vacation. The waves were great, and so was the weather most of the time. And now the Summer's ending, and school's starting back. :( In a way I'm glad, because now I get to learn new stuff..but there's always that sad feeling you get when Summer's over.
wow..didn't know it would be this long.. :) Adios!
